Muhtar Oral

Our founder, Muhtar Oral, architect and developer cared deeply about the quality of service that he offered in his lifetime. He created a firm that has sought to lead our practice towards quality excellence achieved alongside high customer satisfaction and trust. Our commitment to the built environment, combined with our culture of innovation and design, have informed our evolution into the 'total design' ‘turn key” practice that we are today.

Born in İstanbul 1907- Studied at the “Royal Enginering School” (now called the İstanbul Technical University) graduate date as architect and civil engineer in 1930. He has worked as site architect for “Ibrahim Galip” Construction and engineering firm between 1930 and 1935. He took part in the construction of the “New Unkapani Bridge”  as chife site engineer.

He  founded Oral, his own architectural practice in 1935. His first projects, were primarily private villas and apartment projects such as “Ragip Bey” villa on the Bosphorus, “Ucler Apartment” building in Gumussuyu Avenue in İstanbul, as well as Sugar Production plant in Alpullu.

In 1946 after the foundation of Yapi Ve Kredi Bank in Istanbul. He worked exclusively on bank branches and “Award House” for the same bank on design and building basis. He has designed and build over two hundred bank branches as  turn-key projects including all fixed and movable furniture, artwork and equipment.
